Nigerian politician and actress Tonto Dikehhas obtained the approval and blessing from her father ahead of the 2023 general election.
The thespian who is the deputy governor-elect of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State, took to her Instagram page to share photos of the moment when she received the blessing of her father, Chief Sunny Dikeh The Onwe of Rumuokuta.
In June the candidate for governorship from the party Tonte Ibraye took to her verified page on Facebook profile to inform the world that he’s selected the actress of 37 years to be his running mate.
“After a series of meetings with the members of our party and we have decided to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State and the national level, I’m pleased to confirm the Ambassador Tonto Dikeh to be my running partner in the 2023 governorship election for Rivers State.
“We are pleased to welcome her to the #RiversRescueMission2023 as we strive to improve the standard of living for everyone in our dear Rivers State.”
