An Osun lady who set her husband ablaze has also committed suicide.

Ifeoluwa Baamidele, the young woman who set her husband Bolu ablaze at their home in Koka Village, Obokun Local Government Area, Osun State, on Sunday, July 17, made national news. She has now committed suicide.

According to reports, Bolu was set ablaze by Ifeoluwa after learning that he had a child with another woman. Their marriage was only one year old.

SP Yemisi Opalola, spokesperson for Osun’s state police command confirmed this tragic development.

SP Opalola stated that efforts to reach Mrs. Bamidele, who was initially hiding in Ekiti state, yielded results after she was able to get a Non-Governmental organization to mediate.

Opalola stated that Ifeoluwa told her she was in Aramokoko, and she instructed staff to take her there.

They picked her up and saw that she was acting strangely. They inquired about what had happened. She admitted that she had taken a poisonous drug before leaving Ekiti. We took her to WesleyGate. They did everything they could to get her to vomit the substance. Later, they discovered that the substance had been taken for a long time and had caused her to lose all of her internal organs. This was her final breath.
